Harpist Amanda Romano Foreman grew up in New York City and by the age of 15 had already performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Alice Tully Hall and Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall.

Studying with former Boston Symphony Orchestra harpist Ann Hobson Pilot brought her to Boston where she maintains a busy orchestral career.

As an orchestral player she can often be seen playing with the Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, a Far Cry Chamber orchestra and Boston Festival Orchestra as well as the Handel and Haydn Society, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra and the Celebrity Series of Boston.

Ms. Romano Foreman was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center and has participated in many other festivals such as the International Ensemble Moderne Academy in Austria, the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice in Boston, the Assisi Music Festival in Italy, the International Festival of Contemporary Performance in New York City and the Monadnock Music Festival in New Hampshire.

An avid recording artist, Ms. Romano Foreman can be heard on more than 20 albums including the Grammy Award Winning 2020 Best Opera Performance recording of “Fantastic Mr. Fox” with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project in collaboration with Odyssey Opera.

Aside from keeping a private teaching studio, Ms. Romano Foreman is on faculty at Clark University, the College of Staten Island and Dana Hall School.

Ms. Romano Foreman received her Masters degree at Boston University and Bachelors degree at the New England Conservatory both in Harp Performance.
